Scholarship Terms and Conditions

  1. You must be a U.S. citizen or a Permanent Resident to be considered for the Scholarship.
  2. You may apply for the Scholarship in accordance with the application schedule above; however, you are only eligible to receive one (1) Scholarship each academic year.
  3. To be awarded a Scholarship, you must be enrolled full-time at an accredited college, university, or trade school, in the United States (“Accredited Institution”).
  4. You must possess a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 (open to incoming post-secondary students).
  5. In order to ensure a fair and equitable selection process, MoneyKey may retain the services of a third-party scholarship administrator to select and notify Scholarship Recipients, to verify Recipient information, and to remit Scholarship proceeds to the Accredited Institution. MoneyKey and/or its designated third-party scholarship administrator shall have the sole discretion in the selection of Scholarship Recipient(s).
  6. The Scholarship Recipient will be contacted by the third-party scholarship administrator or MoneyKey within thirty (30) calendar days of the Scholarship Application deadline via phone and/or email using the contact information provided on the Recipient’s application.
  7. If the Recipient does not respond within ten (10) calendar days, MoneyKey reserves the right to award the Scholarship to another applicant.
  8. MoneyKey shall directly award the Scholarship to the Accredited Institution on behalf of the Recipient within thirty (30) calendar days of contact with the Scholarship Recipient. The Recipient shall complete a form that includes their student identification details, the name of the Accredited Institution and the contact information for the Financial Aid Office of that institution. A Recipient will receive the full amount of the Scholarship only if the Recipient is enrolled as a full-time student and the Scholarship does not exceed the Recipient’s tuition for the academic term, both of which will be subject to confirmation by the Financial Aid Office of the Accredited Institution. If the form is not completed, the Scholarship will not be disbursed, and the Recipient is deemed to have forfeited the Scholarship.
  9. No purchase or payment necessary to be an applicant or Recipient of the Scholarship.
  10. Officers, directors, managers and employees of MoneyKey or its third-party scholarship administrator and their affiliates and related companies, as well as immediate family and/or those living in the same household of each such person, and any other individual engaged in the development or execution of this Scholarship are not eligible to apply. “Immediate family member” shall be deemed to mean husband, wife, children, mother, father, sister, sister-in-law, brother, or brother-in-law.
  11. By applying for the Scholarship, the applicant grants MoneyKey permission to post their name and essay on the MoneyKey blog ([email protected]/blog) in the event they are awarded the Scholarship. The blog post may be shared in social media channels and other marketing communications. If you are selected as the winner, you will be required to provide a short testimonial with some background information about yourself. You may also provide a picture of yourself to be displayed on our blog alongside your winning submission.
  12. MoneyKey reserves the right to change the Scholarship program at any time, including but not limited to, the number of available scholarships, deadlines, requirements and/or scholarship amounts.
  13. MoneyKey will be collecting personal data about applicants online, in accordance with its Privacy Policy. By applying for the Scholarship, applicants hereby agree to MoneyKey’s collection and use of their personal information and acknowledge that they have read and accepted MoneyKey’s Privacy Policy.
